Anja's multi-faceted education and integrative perspective make her work as a dance trainer & coach effective & fun, as well as her work in musical productions and her own shows.

Anja Jochem, child of a renowned circus family, studied Jazz and Tap Dance with the grand masters in New York, who influenced her style in dance and choreography significantly,  e.g. Robert Tucker, who worked with Bob Fosse. She recieved the Achievement Certificate for Excellence in the Luigi Technique at the Ballet Arts at Carnegie Hall.

The choreographies she develops in her classes and workshops at American Dance Center, Schule für Bühnentanz (School of Stage Dance) are regularly staged at Ruhrfestspielhaus. Since 1994 she has professionally been coaching dancers and musical performers for entrance examinations in academies & auditions for shows.

Anja danced in 'New Tap Choreography' at Woodpeckers Dance Center, Home of the American Tapdance Orchestra, in Tap-Dance-Jam-Sessions (among others with Gregory Hines) and in the project TapXL, as an opener for the Tap Dogs (Fujitsu Siemens, Hannover).
Anja can always get the optimum out of her performers. This is why she is highly in demand as a reliable partner for creative concepts with special challenges.
